The Qwerty Channel (or TQC for short) is an American channel created by MTV Networks, Random Ideas Productions, and CBS Television. The network was launched on December 25, 2014 with the world premiere of Troublemaker. The channel mainly focuses on cartoons but also airs some live action shows such as The Big Bang Theory. The channel was launched in Europe on January 11, 2015 and in Asia on July 18, 2015.

HistoryEdit

The channel was founded when DerpyPanda24 began showing interest in creating a channel featuring some of his cartoons. MTV Networks was also looking for a new type of channel for kids after Nickelodeon was getting poor ratings. CBS Television wanted to make a channel that was solely for adults. This was later transferred into a late night block called A+: Adults Only when the companies worked together to make The Qwerty Channel. An agreement was made that MTV Networks will only host the channel as long as Random Ideas Productions and CBS Television supplied programming.
